Colorbar is one of the oldest brands in lipsticks we have ever known. Colorbar lipsticks specially the matte lipsticks are very good. I really like the formula that Colorbar has in its velvet matte lipsticks. The lipstick shade range is vast and becomes difficult to pick the right one. I hope this review of mine will help you choose from the various shades of reds, pinks and browns of the velvet matte lipstick.
Reasons why I would suggest you to buy Colorbar velvet matte lipstick?
- It has the highest possible pigments in its lipsticks. The only thing I dislike about this lipstick is after the lipstick fades, the pigments settle down into the lip creases which makes it difficult to remove.
- It is very velvety to the lips that is, the lipstick is very smooth and keeps the lips well moisturized even though being a matte lipstick. The lips remain soft and supple throughout the wear time of the lipstick.
- Although it is a matte lipstick but still I find a little bit of that creamy texture which I think is manageable. I usually dab in a tissue paper after I apply the lipstick to get rid of that extra creaminess and to get that perfect matte finish.
- If you manage to get that Matte finish anyhow, I am sure the lipstick will not last less than 5 hours, which I think is a pretty good time.

All fired up –
The names resembles to that of a MAC lipstick but are totally different when it comes to the color. The Colorbar lipstick is a more red color, well pigmented but transfers easily. The finish is less matte than the MAC one.
Coral color with a pink undertone. It is sort of combination of orange and red with tint of pink in it. One of my favorite shade from velvet matte lipsticks.
Hot hot hot-
A bright red color with orange undertone that suits best in medium complexion. It adds instant lift to your face. Glam up your boring days with this hot hot hot red lipstick. This color brightens your face as well as your teeth.
A shade that can be worn to work. You can apply this when you are out for a lunch with friends. This color suits all skin tones as it has a brown undertone. People who do not like bright colors can go for this color. It is a very subtle shade that can be carried easily.
A dark maroon or may be plum shade that is good for party wear. It is very smooth to the lips. Applies really well and is super pigmented. This shade is for all those girls who like to go bold. Perfect shade for a night party. The matte effect adds an additional effect to the lipstick.
Pretty please –
Is a rusty color. Looks good with all complexion. Perfect combination of orange and brown with hints of pink in it. It is a good color if you want a neutral color on your lips and simultaneously do not want to look washed out completely.
This shade is a purplish-red color. But does not appear very dark after applying on lips. It is not a very loud shade so, it will compliment all skin tone. a single swipe gives you the exact magenta color on your lips. I would not personally prefer it to wear for office but it is a good shade to worn for informal meetings.
Pure innocence –
It is a brown color and can be worn on everyday basis. A good color for fair to medium skin tones as i feel it wont suit dusky skin tone. But again this is completely one’s personal preference. It gives you a semi matte finish on the lips and staying power is great. Even after you have your meals you will still find this shade on your lips.
The true orange color for orange lovers. I believe this color can be pulled off easily by lighter skin tone rather than darker ones because it is completely a bright plain orange shade. There is no hint of coral or any other color in it. People who want that perfect orange color should buy this lipstick.
Brick O La –
A vibrant combination of red and pink color. It is basically a pink shade with red undertone. Your face gets brighten up because of the red undertone but at the same time it not very overpowering for the color pink. It suits all skin tone and can be worn to any place.
